William M. Reed

William M. Reed, J.D., is an attorney who has practiced in Lexington since 1975.  He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Kentucky College of Law.  Bill is a member of the Fayette and Kentucky Bar Associations and the Commercial Law League of America. He completed a 28-year career in the US Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel in 1998.  Bill has served as the Stated Clerk of Transylvania Presbytery, the regional governing body of Presbyterian Church (USA) churches in the eastern third of Kentucky.  During the period December 1997 to March 1999 he served as the Interim Associate Executive Director at the PCUSA’s national offices in Louisville, where his duties included supervision of the denomination’s mission-funding department.  

Bill has been active on a number of Boards for church and non-profit groups and heavily involved in several funds development campaigns.  He joined Global Advancement in 1999.
