Michael Burke has worked in the non-profit sector as a grant writer, project manager, community engagement officer and consultant for local and regional human service organizations, as well as for youth performing arts groups in the United States and the United Kingdom. Most recently he served with United Way of the Bluegrass and The Salvation Army Central Kentucky Services Area. He was responsible for managing and coordinating the United Way’s $1 million Individual Development Account Program in conjunction with the US Department of Health & Human Services and local service providers. He also coordinated the Get On Board Program, which prepares individuals for service on nonprofit boards of directors through a comprehensive curriculum focusing on strategic planning, legal and ethical responsibilities and fundraising.
Michael holds a B.A. from the University of Kentucky and an M.A. from Lexington Theological Seminary. He joined Global Advancement in 2013 and resides in Washington, DC.
