Kent Masterson Brown
Kent Masterson Brown, J.D., has practiced law for more than thirty years after graduating from Washington and Lee University, in Lexington, Virginia. Besides authoring four award winning histories and biographies of the Civil War era, Kent has had extensive experience in the field of historic preservation and fundraising. He was the founder of the Perryville Battlefield Preservation Association and was the first Chairman of both the Perryville Battlefield Commission and the congressionally created Gettysburg National Battlefield Advisory Commission.
He has served as a trustee of innumerable non-profit foundations and associations, including house museums, throughout the country, created and operated to preserve and interpret important aspects of early American history.
