Susan Caldwell, CFRE

Susan Caldwell, CFRE, CGW, has worked as a nonprofit manager and professional fundraising for 22 years. Susan has an extensive background in grant research, program development and private and public sector grant writing.  Her grant experience ranges from small family foundation grants to major federal grants.  She is a Certified Grant Writer by the American Grant Writers Association, has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive since 1997 and serves on the Grant Professionals Association Foundation Board. Susan worked as Chief Institutional Advancement Officer at Southeast KY Community & Technical College, Proposal Writing Specialist for the KY Community & Technical College System and as Executive Director of Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation.  In these positions, Susan was responsible for all facets of fundraising, including grants, major gifts, annual giving and planned giving.  At Southeast, she conducted two major gifts campaigns, raising more than $8 million in the most economically depressed region of Kentucky.  She also worked in foundation and corporate fundraising for the Community College System's $100 million major gifts campaign.  

Among her numerous projects at Global are Cincinnati Christian University, the Young Marines, eXtension, the Kentucky Mansions Preservation Foundation, Danville City Schools, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra, the Aviation Museum, Wesley Village, the Kentucky Agriculture Heritage Center, Community Arts Center, Frontier Nursing University and Grace Cafe.  Susan joined Global Advancement 2004.
